Scroll of Mastery
I just thought it'd be kind of interesting to have a scroll like item that can let you change your skills ANYWHERE.
Much like a Passage to FOW scroll, it's very rare, and it lets you ONCE (per scroll) change your 2nd profession, skills, and attributes inside an explorable area, dungeon, mission, ect.
It can only be found in HM and be rare, like elite tome rare, to minimize a running build then switching to a fighter build.
Cannot be used in PvP.
Anyone have input?

Hmm, I'm wondering how hard it would be to actually obtain one of these. It would be nice, but I'm just wondering if there is ANY possible way of screwing the game because of this. I can't think of any besides maybe some farms. But, we need to put bread on the table somehow.
I guess I'll...

There are many reasons why you cannot change your skills in an explorable area. Do I really need to explain all of them?

Some of the more challenging areas require some thought for skill bars, as you will face different types of enemies. You compromise and come up with the best combination of skills to complete the mission/quest. To be able to change skills in mid quest would just (IMO) dumb down the game.

Agreed. It's a new and albeit innovative idea, but at the same time this has 'Abuse me' written all over it. So unfortunately, /notsigned.

What would be the point of this? To say you bought a rare item for 10k that allowed you to change from one kind of solo build to another kind of solo build to do a mission or something?

Yup. The game should require more thought than it does, not less.

You should have to think out your builds. If you need to change to beat the next area your original build isnt good enough.

Ok. I agree with this as long it works with the following conditions:
- Do not work in PvP.
- Drops only from Dungeon and Elite mission chests.
- Minimum sell to merchan price of 1.5k. Buy to merchan price 3k.
- Instead of changing the skills and attributes, it let you load a template, ONCE, so you have to set the template BEFORE getting out of the outpost.
- Requires either not being near a single enemy OR require having killed EVERYTHIN in the current area, so you can change build for the next.
Something as 'hard' to get as a x3 XP scroll.
